Dzongri Goecha La Trek Dzongri and Goecha La are situated in West Sikkim at an altitude of 4020 m and 4940 m respectively. This trek offers close-up views of Mt. Kanchenjunga & Mt. Pandim and begins from Yuksom which is also an entry to the National Park. After reaching Samiti Lake which is a high altitude fresh water lake, one can trek through Dzongri and up to the village of Tsokha. This trail takes one through forests of Rhododendron, oak, pine, maple, chestnut and gives trekkers an opportunity to view many species of birds and butterflies at close range.

Singalila Trek The Singalila acts as a natural demarcation between Nepal and Darjeeling together with the western border of Sikkim. Rhododendron Trek Treks begin from Dentam Valley which has a unique topography and gives a good view of the rhododendron forest. The next stop is Uttarey Valley which is surrounded by hilltops, forests and waterfalls and the last stop before Barsey is the Mainibass Falls which has amazing flora and fauna. The Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary in south- west Sikkim is situated at an altitude of more than 2, 200 metres. The best time to visit this place is in April and May when this area is covered with blooming rhododendrons.
