Italy’s newest five-star family resort has opened on the Adriatic coast, offering more than just sun and sand. Cavallino Bianco Caorle – Venezia, which debuted in May, combines luxury with local exploration through outdoor adventures, cultural experiences, and relaxation.
The resort is located on the seafront in Caorle, a coastal town in the Veneto region known for its lagoons, historic villages, and vineyards. Its philosophy, “It’s Family Time – Live it Now,” shapes the activities available to guests, including cycling tours through the Caorle Lagoon, water sports, and wine tastings.
Activities for every age
Twice weekly, families can join the Laguna e Casoni e-bike tour, a relaxed ride past traditional fishermen huts called Casoni. The route includes a stop at Ca’ Corniani, a small village with a local winery where guests can sample regional wines. The tour suits all ages, mixing light exercise with sightseeing.
For water-based activities, the resort’s private beach hosts the Sail&Surf school, offering lessons in sailing, windsurfing, and wing foil. Guests can also book paddle and tennis courts through partnerships with nearby sports centers, including the Villaggio dello Sport.
Beyond the immediate area, the resort organizes day trips to Venice, boat tours through the lagoon, and excursions to the Prosecco Superiore DOCG region. The vineyards of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, change color in autumn, creating a striking scene.
These experiences are created with local partners to give guests an authentic sense of the region. The resort’s CEO, Ralph A. Riffeser, said families now want more than a beach holiday—they seek meaningful time together and experiences that support well-being.

While children have dedicated spaces, parents can enjoy over 4,000 square meters of wellness areas, heated pools, and an adults-only rooftop with a pool. The resort also offers beauty treatments.
The property’s 101 family suites range from 46 to 118 square meters, each with sea-view terraces, separate sleeping areas, two bathrooms, and a pantry. The design focuses on convenience, with amenities for both adults and children.
Cavallino Bianco stands out by blending local culture with high-end hospitality. Many luxury resorts in Europe focus on either adventure or relaxation, but few combine both so smoothly. Its location in Caorle, a quieter alternative to Venice, provides access to major attractions without crowds.
The resort’s private beach offers direct access to water sports and poolside lounging. Guests can move easily from cycling tours to wine tastings without leaving the property.
Riffeser pointed out that autumn in Caorle offers a quieter experience, with mild weather and fewer visitors. The lagoons, vineyards, and coastal trails take on a different feel during this season, appealing to families who prefer to avoid summer crowds.
